How do I get someone out of my apartment in NYC? My boyfriend hasn't paid rent in
years and I can't take it anymore. What are my rights? The apartment is mine.

Hi,

Unfortunately since he has lived there you will have to evict him the same as a landlord. You will need to go to the clerk of courts and file eviction paperwork. They will go ahead and set up a court date for you.

Please keep in mind it can take up to 30 days to have him removed, unless the judge deems he should leave immediately.
