I was accused of an armed robbery charge in 2001 and all charge were dropped and I moved to Texas and have been living there for 3 years. Now I've return to the state that i went to jail and now they have given me another charge and i was still in Texas at the time of the alledged incident. What can I do? I don't feel that i should spend more of my life behind bars. I feel that it's because I am already in the system and they want to place someone in the blanks of the unanswered questions. This has happened to me four time and I am worried if I go to jail and allow them to drop the charge again that it will happen again. I am trying to have a family and i have to keep putting my family affairs on hold because i am the tool that the police department is playing with. please help. thanks!   I have found a lawyer and I am taking care of this situation thanks again.

Dear Customer (name blocked for privacy)

This is a most unfortuante situation for you - of course, while the burden is on the prosecution to prove that you were involved in the crime, it will help if you get your witnessess together who know that you were in Texas at the time of the crime.

I suggest that you consult with a local attorney who will be able to assist you with this matter. You are correct, they probably are looking for someone to hold accountable for the crime and an attorney in your area also should talk to the police about this type of harassment - once he shows your innocence.

If my answer has been helpful, please ACCEPT my answer so I get credit for my effort to help you . If I can be of further help, let me know. Appropriate FEEDBACK is appreciated as is a bonus. Thanks ~ Michelle
