i have a 21yr. old daughter who did not reside with me and adopted a cat. In those months when she was living in her apt. with her son and abusive boyfriend (who is now out of the picture) called me a few times to get food and litter for the cat because she could not afford it. she moved to Texas on Oct.3,2006 and left her cat with me. i did not want the cat here because she knows as well as everyone who knows me, i will soon bond with the cat. when she would call and visit i would tell her everytime to take the cat. she didnt. she would tell me its your cat now or to take it back to the shelter where she got it from. i didnt. things did not work out for her in texas so she moved back with me approx. early feb. of 2007. since she has been back she has not cared for the cat at all.....litter box, feed, or play. the cat is very attached to me. now she will be moving out and plans on taking the cat. what can i do to keep this cat with me..... please help ASAP this is happening very soon.
