I have a misdemeanor in Texas back in 1993. I have moved on in life and am trying to find work. I never had been in trouble before nor have I been in trouble ever since. Do I stand a chance of getting that taken off. I work as a medical person and was hoping to ge that erased to make finding a job easier.

In texas the statute that controls expungment is TX Code of Criminal Procedure Art. 55.01. There is nothing you can do for an actual conviction in Texas. The only relief is for cases that led to deferred adjudication and arrests that do not lead to a conviction.
