I would like to know exactly what the term scientific equipment refers to. Is it medical equipment such as magnetic resolution imagers or x-ray equipment for use everyday in hospitals or does it refer to equipment used in research? I cannot find out WHAT scientific equipment is under the Arkansas law code. Thank you.

This refers to buying medical equipment for a hospital. The county(Drew) states that bids must be sought after on purchases over $15,000. I tried researching the Arkansas code to find any exceptions only to be stymied by the term "scientific equipment" which is exempted from the bidding process. I want to know if medical equipment is considered "scientific equipment" and thus avoid the bidding process and make purchases in a more timely manner. Many suppliers and buyers will be affected by this.
