Can I file for spouse support being married only a year?

I have been married for a year and my husband has decide he wants a divorce. He makes about 2 1/4 of what I make. I moved into his apartment and now I cannot afford to move out. He has stopped his direct deposition into our account. Can I file for spouse support even though we have only been married a year?Also we were married in Las Vegas will that affect our divorce?
We have about 1700 in my account that I added him to I am scared if I withdraw that for a lawyer he will throw me out before I can save for a place. Can he throw me as we rent and leave on a month to month rental? Should I stay until served with the papers?
