IM IN CALIFORNIA AND I LOANED OUT $3,400.00 TO A FREIND HE HAS PAYED BACK TWO PAYMENTS OF $400.00 THIS LOAN WAS BACK ON 7-3-04 WHAT IS THE STATUE OF LIMITS IN GETTING MY MONEY BACK AND CAN I STILL GO TO COURT AND GET MY MONEY PAYED BACK TO ME. he said he is not going to pay me back can i still take him to court. even if this was back in 2004

Was this a written or oral contract? In the state of CA the SOL is 4 years if written and 2 years if Oral - the time would start to run when the final payment was due.
