If the person has no business being on your property, I would suggest sending her a letter indicating that she should stay away. Always retain a copy for your records. If she appears again for any reason, seek a harassment restraining order. Once you have a restraining order in place, any violation is a criminal offense.

Reply to Lawmoe's Post: ok so you can not see the 1st half. My daughter is 19 and currently with child. The father of the baby has called several times cursing her and demanding a paternity test. The other day his mother showed up and wanted to know why she is calling their house (which as far as we know has not happened although he calls ours on an average of 3 to 4 times a day). She wanted to knwo where she was and we stated she was asleep after working an 8 hour day. Later that nite (after 10) she came by with her son, her boyfriend and wanted to see my daughter. When she saw her she was crying wanting to know why my daughter does not stop by. the father of the babay in the meantime is firing questions on what they were going to do about the ababy and why she keeps calling. When we asked why he called our house 5 times that night he was silent. When we asked our daughter to come in side because she had no shoes or coat on and its 30 degrees that is when the remainder happened....any suggestions

That sounds like a great deal of ugliness. I could not see that before hand. Nonetheless, my former response still stands as the best advice. Fire off a letter. It can be polite. It should simply state that given your daughter's pregnancy and the emtional turmoil that the latest visit caused, you think it is best if the parties refrain from any contact at your residence. You cannot prevent them from calling your daughter. Only she can do that. Nonetheless, once you put them on notice to stay away, if they do not, you may seek a restraining order.

Your daughter should start thinking about what she intends to do about paternity when the child is born. if he is the father, he will inevitably commence a paternity action and seek parental rights. Perhaps some discussion would be wise presently. Of course, have you pressent or a lawyer present makes the most sense.

I am sorry to hear about your difficulties.

I think it is a good idea. You should also be documenting in a notebook any concerns that you may have about the father's parenting abilities and, apparently, anger management issues. Certainly you should journal events like the one that most recently occurred.

If the father has any criminal background, you may wish to acquire those records in advance as well. A lawyer in your state would be better able to direct you in that regard.
