According to the FAQ at CAledonian Express, a UK credit information service, 
if an account has a default notice sent, it must, under the UK's Consumer Credit
Act, be removed from the consumer's credit file after 6 years otherwise the answer
to your question is no. Therefore check if you have this default notice.
