if a person is on your lease to your co-op that

if a person is on your lease to your co-op that you personally own the shares to,and they moved out over 7 years ago what does that mean ,does he own that co-op if i die or can i leave it to my 4 grandchildren who were born and raised in this house?

that person was a lessee only and has absolutely NO ownership rights...not to sell, leave to heirs....nothing...nada. You are the only one with full rights of owership. So if someone is making some claims against you based only on what you said...they were at one time a lessee...tell them to pound sand. If there is more to their claim, the answer may be differentt, so let me know.
