I was injured in a mva in oct 07- nothing broken, proven nerve damage, herniated disk c3-4 impingement of spinal cord. surgeon has reccomended two carpal tunnel operations(hands), one ulner nerve(elbow) and a cervical Disectomy and fusion(neck surgery artificial disk). I can work but in pain, numbness and tingling of arms an hands) if i get the surgeries what dollar amount would an attorney sue for? i am looking for a ball park.

This depends on: Amount of medical bills; Amount of time you have lost from work; wheter you will have permanent physical disabilities or not; whether you will be able to return to work; how old you are; how the quality of your life has been affected, i.e., what you can and can't do now (or in the future) that you used to do and enjoy before the MVA, and your pain and suffering. Most states do not allow you to sue for a specific amount of money, and just let the court (jury) decide.

Howmuch money you recover depends on all of the above, plus how much insurance did the other person have? How much did you have in underinsurance on your own vehicle(s) and how much does the other person have in personal assets beyond his/her insurance coverage. From what you say this sounds like seven-figures and up ($7M) - not settlement can be done without you personally accepting the amount offered!

Reply to Mr Lofton's Post: i can work but with light duty- i have not missed work unpaid because i am the boss and can work my schedule around most of my appointments. medical bill when all said and done should be around $200,000 plus or maybe more i dont know.

3)Right unar entrapment neuropothy
4) disk herniation c3-c4 level with right spinal cord impingement--- difficulty lifting, weakness numbness tingling in right arm

to reiterate recomended surgeries
1-endoscopic carpal tunnel release
2-ulnar nerve release
3- anterior cervical discectomy and fusion

the reason i am asking because i believe my attorney said i may get high six figures. i may be mistaken. you think $7m is more accurate- i will double check with my attorney

If you have a good attorney he/she is better able to avaluate all the aspects of this case that I am - but remember, the case cannot be settle unless you agree!!
