Im hoping to find answer to this question. I''ve recently come awaare of a support garnishment on my pay - that has been in place for over a year. Last November I suffered a heart attack & went off work. Receaving only STD pay I notice a attachment for $692.31 . After contacting mycompany I was told that I wasn''t intitled to be notfied of these action. Im currently concerned that my health is subject to these influences. Sence 1-26-07 ($19,800 has been tranfered out of my account . Do I have any legal ground to recover these assest, penalities & wages related to not receiveing my pay properly from the start of this process?

If your employer was not required to notify you (and I don't know that), the person who garnished your pay certainly was required to do so.

I would contact the court or agency that issued the garnishment order and determine what notice, if any, was supposedly given to you. If a judgment creditor falsely claimed to have notified you of a garnishment, you can recover from that creditor.
