My live in girlfriend cheated on me and left her stuff behind. (example clothes, jewery, electronics, and so on) What rights does she have to her stuff and in what time frame. Note that she never did a change of address to my home, and as far as tax paper and mail, it showed her living with her parents.

Optional Information:
Gaston, Indiana

Already Tried:
I have called her twice to pick up her items, but no reply. She has now turned off her phone.

Your girl friend has a right to her stuff until it becomes clear that she has "abandoned" it. Nobody owns "abandoned" property. If you know where she is, send her certified mail with return receipt or have third-party hand deliver a letter telling her to come get her stuff within thirty days, or you will begin to charge her $____ per month for storage. If she ignores the letter, send her another one saying you intend to regard her property has abandoned if she does not retrieve it in 30 days. After that do what you will, as by then you will have established that she has abanoned the property. All the best,
