There is a property for sale that is said to be landlocked by the Realtor selling the property. The property is in CA and is next to a river. Is there a way to force the surounding Land owners to grant an easement? Or do I have the right by law to cross their property to get to mine, if I buy it?

Optional Information:
Placerville, California

Already Tried:
The current Realtor, an ex-Realtor who tells me the sorrounding property owners have to give a "Rigrt of Entry". And now I'm asking your service.

I appoligize for the time it took me to reply. My computer is acting up. The property is raw land, no structures. It's not newly developed. I have not checked the recorders office as of yet. I was just looking into the posibility and my options. The address listed is 1 Rock Creek Road, Placrville, CA. The property is on realtor.com and the MLS ID# 70068581. I don't know if my computer will allow me to get back to you again. So, if you could send me an email to montesway@comcast that would be great. If not that's ok too.

Hi Monte,

Let me see what I can dig up. I cannot email you back, as that is against terms of service, but you will be notified upon my reply.

I'll see what I can find out right now. You did right in looking for a second opinion. Realtor's can't make money unless they sell something.

Thanks,

Mike

The parcel # is 089-140-01-1. Taking a look at the plot map would be good. I could then see the property and it's relationship to adjacent properties. And maybe I could see if a deal could be made.
