i bought a property 6 years ago with my then partner, of which i paid one third in cash of the purchase price. the rest we took out in a joint mortgage. He left the property 14 months later, and i have lived in the house since and made the mortgage payments on my own. now almost 4 years later he is demanding 20,000 euro to take his name from the property. all he ever contributed was 1,000 deposit and even while he lived here i always made the mortgage payments from my own bank account. he made the car payments which he took when he left. i feel he is not entitled to anything but his deposit back am i being naive in thinking this any advice would be greatly appreciated
