How to I force someone to return my property that they stole from me? I can prove they have it. There is very little monetary value, just VERY sentimental. I'm in Texas.
Thanks!

You can try to approach and person and request him to give the property back to you. YOu might want to threaten them that you would report it to the police if they do not give it back to you.

If this does not work than you need to report it to the local police department.
When you call to report property that has been stolen to the department, the officer will obtain a description of the stolen item. You will be asked to provide enough information (such as make, model, serial number). You can provide them the details of the suspects.

They will be able to help you get your property back.

You can get a court order but that will be a lengthy process. The court will have to ascertain that the property belongs to you before the order can be issued.

I would suggest you to report to local police and go from there further on....if required to filing a case and getting a court order.
