I have been without my license for 17 years due to a property damage accident. I have paid off the fire hydrant and the telephone pole has been 'written' off as it's not even on my credit history anymore. After contacting the Wisconsin Power and Light Co. they have no idea what I was talking about. I had an assesment done with intensive counseling but according to the DMV it's not an authorized assessment facility??? not sure why that would matter as it was still done. I was told I can't even get an occupational or even a hardship license which I so desperately need. I have been sober for over 7 years and they are still holding this against me. I have MORE than made up for my crime. As for the hardship license, my husband has Macular Dystrophy and is going blind. He is already 'legally blind' in one eye and my son is Type I Diabetic and has been known to have seizures do to low blood sugars. What I need to know is what can I do to get my license back, without strings? Help???
