Question

I am trying to file a Promissory Note against my sister ...

Sent to Legal Experts December 14, 2007 12:40 p.m.

I am trying to file a Promissory Note against my sister using her home as collateral. I already submitted the Promissory Note and Security Agreement at the Montgomery Cty Courthouse, but they said I also need a Warrant of Attorney. The sample they faxed me is titled "Judgement Note". Can you tell me where I can find this form to submit? My email is XXXXX@XXXXXX.XXX. My phone number is XXX-XXX-XXXX (not to be shared with other solicitors).

Yes. I loaned her money that she is in the process of paying back (slowly). She agreed to use her home as collateral for the balancce if she cannot pay it off.
There is no suit involved. THis is a mutual non-adversarial agreement because I loaned her funds to help fix and sell her former home.

I appreciate your reply, but your answer contradicts what the County court attorney requested. He specificall asked for a Warrant of Attorney, His clerk sent me the thing titled Judgement Note. In it were the words Warrant of Attorney.
I guess I'll have to have an attorney handle this after all.
But thanks for trying.
