Can an individual represent herself in a civil matter on behalf of her LLC who is being sued along with herself (who is being sued)? The suit stems from her association with another person who she entered into a hand-shake agreement with - his job being to raise funds for the business and hers to produce a product. He failed to provide the necessary paperwork to the investors and some of them filed this suit, for damages and recission. The company no longer does business. Do you have knowledge of anyone, anywhere who would provide her legal counsel at a no-cost or very, very nominal rate since she is without sufficient resources to hire an attorney

Optional Information:
Los Gatos, California

Already Tried:
Every legal referral service in the area, including law schools - no one is available under $10,000 and she does not have $1,000.

Hi,

You can represent yourself in CA assuming you are a single member LLC. I am a NYC trial attorney with over 30+ years experience NOT admitted to the CA bar, but I may be able to assist you REPRESENTING YOURSELF IN PROPRIA PERSONA effectively as a paralegal at reasonable cost. If interested, provide your contact information.

Dear Richard:

I cannot thank you enough. The information I was seeking was for my daughter. Her contact information is:

Kathy Vadasz
kvadasz@hotmail.com

She will be looking for you to get in touch with her so you and she can figure out what makes the most sense in terms of you providing paralegal assistance at a reasonable cost.

Bless you for responding so quickly.

Marie

Dear Richard:

Don't want to be a pest but do want to make sure that you received my prior reply asking that you contact my daughter, Kathy Vadasz.

I'll give you my full email address in case it is a problem responding to her.

Thanks again - you've been most helpful.
