He does not stand to gain financially from his mother's death. Do you think the son's action is justified or unjustified? Should the law punish him? If so, how severely should he be punished? d a hint and some direction

I'm sorry but I don't think this (fictisious) case would fall under assisted suicide. The son has administered morphine him self. Assisted suicide falls under the deffinition of providing tools or nessecary needs to commit suicide. In this case he has performed the killing him self. Where does this fall under?

Michelle,
yes, your answer has been very helpful, you didn't take long time at all as I was expecting. My last experience with this resource wasn't so succesfull. I had to wait for an answer for about a week and still didn't get what I was looking for. Your answer was prompt and down to the point.
However if I can ask for small favor please? I can't give you any payment at this moment for several reason, one of them is that my husband is sitting next to me and so on. Please waitt till tomorrow afternoon and if you do it would be very helpfull. I do apreciate your help and truely I'll stay in touch.
Thanks
