I have invested over 40,000, in home improvements to my son's home (co-owner is my husband's separate property) and now my son is going to sell and he has not paid one cent towards the improvements or the 4,000 monthly mortage payments. Do I have any rights to recoupe the money I put into their home. My son does not live there nor has he put one penny into the house and he expects him and my husband to split the profits without giving me the money back that I put in. What can I do?
