I have a lot of credit card debt. Only 1 (Citibank) has filed a lawsuit and I think this was because they got mad
because I reported them forunfair practices with the Attorney generals office. My attorney filed a counterclaim, but I think he missed filing my interrogatories (which I prepared) because they made a motion on this. My question is I had discussed filing
bankruptcy with an attorney. When this motion came up, the other attorney contacted him and told him to file bankrupcy for me. They both pushed me and said I could be gotten for contempt of court if I did not appear. I didn't even know of the motion until the day before therefore I had to go to the attorney's office and sign
papers for filing. It is incomplete until Oct 12. Can this be cancelled because no one told me all the details on filing and the consequence. Plus, my property is protected with low equity. They steps had already been taken. So, what can I do if I don't wantto proceed. I felt pushed and threatend and had to make a decision under stress.
