Is it legal for someone ,that did a mortgage loan for me in 2000, check my credit & do a title search on my properties in 2003? I had him in court for preditory lending & after this he decides to pay off my second mortgage & have it assigned to him for $825. second city construction assigned the note without my authorization & niether one of them informed me of this. I called September,2003 to make a pymt & I was told the account was pd off & it's okay for anyone to pay off your acct if they have the account #. But how did he get the account #? I found out these two people know each but the one that bought the note is only licensed as a loan originator not to service loans.
