Can I copyright my stage name, if possible how do I go abot doing so and how do I check to see if it's already being used?

Hi Durd,

Generally, you would not choose to copyright a stage name. Some sort of registered mark would be more appropriate. You can look up the stage name here to see any rights to such name.

Also, here is an excerpt from the link above regarding copyrights:

A Copyright is a form of protection provided to the authors of “original works of authorship” including literary, dramatic, musical, artistic, and certain other intellectual works, both published and unpublished.
