We have an immigration interview based on ...

We have an immigration interview based on residency coming up next week. We have not recieved the EAD card yet, but our interview is now why is this? We submitted the I-130-affidavit of support, 1-765-Employment authorization, and I-485 adjust of status. Our interview was given approx 2 months after submitting apps. Why did we get the interview prior to recieving the employment card
