I purchased some land in the state of Georgia about 5 weeks ago. When I bought the land, there were a bulldozer and backhoe which had apparently been abandoned there more than 2 years before. The person I bought it from said the equipment was there when they purchased the land, and that they had no idea who it belonged to and that if they didn't find out, then they would sell the equipment. Now that the land belongs to me, does the person who sold the land to me have any right to the equipment? Can I sell or use it if I can not fine the true owners?
