My husband and I moved from Florida to Cincinnati,Ohio to assume the responsibilities of his mothers home because of illness. Since we have moved here we have put on a new roof, installed new flooring and other improvements totaling around $15,000. His sister has power of attorney and she says she cannot sign the house over to him so we can get the house back to code. There are many other problems such as electrical issues that need to be addressed. She keeps talking about the Elder Law. All we want to do is try to get everything corrected that is wrong with the house. What are my options.
