Dear Bill,

Thank for your interest to satisfy your customer, specially in legal matters.
I still need some clarification in your answer because it does not specify if the meaning of it apply for the state of Florida or if it is just a general interpretation of the law. Also, I need another example like in a work environment when somebody imprison a person in an office.

Here are the Florida Statutes that deal with Kidnapping and Confinement (which is False Imprisonment):

Abstract: 776.08 Forcible felony. --"Forcible felony" means treason; murder; manslaughter; sexual battery; carjacking; home-invasion robbery; robbery; burglary; arson; kidnapping; aggravated assault; aggravated battery; aggravated stalking; aircraft piracy; unlawful throwing, placing, or discharging of a destructive device or bomb; and any other felony which involves the use or threat of physical force or violence against any individual. 74-383; s.

Abstract: (1)(a) Involves a violent act or an act dangerous to human life which is a violation of the criminal laws of this state or of the United States; or (b) Involves a violation of s. (c) Affect the conduct of government through destruction of property, assassination, murder, kidnapping, or aircraft piracy.

A work enviroment violation would be the same as the home where a persons freedom to leave or move was being done to them by force and they had no visible freedom to walk way.
