I work in Las Vegas, Nevada and just started a new Management job four weeks ago. After hire, it became apparent that my supervisor yells and berates employees aloud and in view and earshot of everyone. This seems at the very least unprofessional and inappropriate and want to know if there is a state or federal law that covers this. My supervisor berated me outloud for a minor error and the only error made in four weeks. The error was easily corrected and I thought this to be inappropriate. A simple corrected would have sufficed. I've been in Management Positions for 20 years and have never found this to be appropriate nor have I had to deal with this type of behavior from previous supervisors. Please advise if this is covered by any employment law and what course to take. I'm very happy with the company and position, but do think this to be very inappropriate. I have not addressed this with HR yet.
