Dear Customer (name blocked for privacy) - I will assume that you do not have liability insurance. If you do you should turn this in to them. If not then you will have to defend the suit and you could lose however I'm sure the Plaintiff assumes the apartment complex has insurance and that she will get compensation from them.
If there is a judgment filed against you then, depending on the amount, you will either have to pay or they can start collection proceedings. If you have little or no assets there will be nothing to attach so the judgment really can't hurt you. In addition there is always the protection of the bankruptcy courts available to you.
At this point you will just have to defend the suit and see what happens. It doesn't sound like the injuries were too serious so I can't imagine that if there is a judgment it will be all that much.
