quick claim on parents property

My father had a stroke July 1st 2006, he is eighty years old and my mother died July 25th 2005. I had my dad put me on his checking account in case he was unable to pay bills by being in the hospital or not able to write because of a stroke. Since his stroke on the first he accquired a girlfriend, which they bought a marriage license on July 17th as I was getting my mothers name off of the title of the house and put my name on the title. The clerk at the title office gave me a quick claim deed. Does this entitle me as an owner?
