do I have to register my articles of incorporation every year?

Is there a fee that has to be paid to keep my incorporation in good standing every year?

What state are you in? What I am finding is unless there is a signifcant change to the articles there is no need to file them again. But I would like to check with your specific state. Thanks.

Whether the corporation's existence is permanent or limited for a specific period of time. Generally the rule is that a corporation existence is forever, or until (1) it stops paying the yearly corporate renewal fees or otherwise fails to do something required to continue its existence such as file certain paperwork each year.

Reply to Michelle's Post: I am in Michigan. I don't know if my state has corporate renewal fees. That is my question. How much would they be, and when would I do that?

Well I am not finding anything other than an original fee of what appears to be $20. You can contact the Michigan Dept of Labor and Economic Growth in Lansing and here is a website that might be helpful

You should check with them, I am sure they will give you all the answers and probably even provide you with a booklet of rules and regs.

that site takes me to a form for non profit corporations. I am a for Profit corporation. I want a refund, if I have to look up my own answers
