I work at a hospital in the laboratory as the Lead Lab Technician. We train phlebotomy students from a local college. One of the students filed a complaint with the HR dept that he was forced to have his blood drawn. The outcome of the investigation was that the student lied and I had given signed statements from witnesses as to what happened. Now the student has mailed a letter to the me via the hospital demanding payment for pain and suffering in the amount of $5000.00. I was told the corporate attorney will issue a cease and desist letter to the student. What does this mean and how will this effect me as the employee?
