we were renting a home in arizona that our landlord put up for preforclosure sale. He dissolved our lease with him and refunded our deposit & allowed us to stay in the house rent free until forclosure or sale (whichever came first). We were never notified as to status of the home. Today I was notified by the buyer''s agent that he is closing on the home tomorrow and wishes us to vacant the home without notice tomorrow. She very brutally explained to me that she and the buyer owe us nothing not even notice and as we are just living here not currently renting we have no rights and we have to vacate now. We don''t have any resources available to us to manage this. What are our rights when do we have to vacate the premises?

6 months after moving in our landlord told us he was short selling the home or if it didn't sell then he was going to allow it to foreclose. He told us not to worry about paying anymore rent since he was no longer paying the mortgage and we could live here rent free until it sold or foreclosed, he wasn't going to hold us to our lease and gave back the refundable part of our deposit. So I guess we dissolved our lease verbally. We were informed by the forclosure attorneys that in the event of a foreclosure we would have 30 days to vacate AFTER foreclosure sale by law. We actually want to move as we recently have had a change in our income and can't afford the utilities on this house, let alone rent. We were under the impression we would be notified of a pending contract (as we asked to be notified by the listing agent and the landlord) when we had to get out. We attempted several times to get info on when we had to be out but he was unsure what was going on as it was a bank short sale. Several people said the new owner would actually have to go through an eviction process which may buy us time to find a place, however I am concerned that may not be the case.

No it has not yet expired. The buyers agent showed up today and demanded we be out by midnight on saturday as they are planning on closing the sale by then. We told her that we needed at least until the 1st best case the 15th. We intend on vacating, because we can no longer afford a house of this size, but we need time to find a place and get out.
