Below is one section of an agreement between my company and I. The agreement is a binding document for me to serve overseas in Iraq. Pay is what is being discussed. Before deployment I was told I would be paid for 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. I am currently being paid for only 10 hours a day, 7 days a week. Does the wording in this document require my company to continue paying me for 12 hours?

"In circumstances in which a customer or its authorized representative requires extended hours from exempt staff and the contract provides for reimbursement of those hours, Employee's salary will be supplemented accordingly. The salary supplement will be equivalent to the pro rata share of Employee's weekly salary based on the extended hours. Employee is authorized an Extended Work Week of up to 44 hours per week, a total of 84 compensable hours per week, for this assignment. The EWW hours are recorded on Employee's timecard and paid on the bi-weekly paycheck."

The wording you have provided does not say that your employer must pay you 12 hours a day. I would insist that that clause appear in your written contract before signing. This just says that the employer can insist on extended hours and the rate of pay that it will pay. Please let me know if I have not answered your question.
