Can a judgement from California for breach of contract ...

Can a judgement from California for purchase of a home that a Kansas man was found to be in breach of contract be filed in a Kansas county for collection? The judgement will be under $20,000. and will be filed first in
LA county. Since he moved back to Kansas I want to know if the judgement can also be filed where he owns a home in Kansas?

Hi,

The CA judgment will first have to be transformed by a KS attorney per a simple procedure into a KS judgment. Each state recognizes the judgments of sister states. Then you can try to collect against any KS property the debtor has there.
