I bought a car in Indiana several years ago. I moved to North Carolina in Jan. of 2004. I made my last payment in March 2004. I defaulted on the contract and never paid the car off. Now the bank hired lawyers to find me and they are trying to garinshee my earnings here in North Carolina. Plus they are threatening me with contempt charges and 90 days in jail if I do not agree to pay it off. What are my options?

Optional Information:
Wabash, Indiana

Already Tried:
I tried to do a voluntary garinsheement but the company I work for would not do it. They told the lawyers it had to be court ordered!
