My brother went in contract to purchase a home in which he was denied for the mortgage. The seller refuses to give his $50,00 downpayment back. He's been holding it for over 7 months now. Can my brother's atttorney file a Lis Pendens against this guys property? Also...how much and money does it cost to file a lis Pendens?
