i purchased a old trailer in an old park for my son to live in 2 1/2 years ago . at the time there were no restrictions you just moved in. later teh formed a board and now you have to have a back ground check to live there i was grandfathered in. my son has moved and i now rent it out . i gota backgroud chek , it wasn't their form so they wouldn't accept it . i've used there form but it's never filled out right!!!!!!! my question being as i was grandafathered in do i even have to have background checks on renters. mine passed mine by the way. do i have to put up with their actions? i left a check and all teh paper work i have and they keep sending it back for this or that. the park is old so you're just going to get starter home applicants.

ACCEPTEDCheck Mark

Yes. You would have to comply with the background check requirement. Although you personally may be grandfathered in, your tenants are not. The Association may approve or disapprove of any prosepective tenants. Unfortunately, you aresubject to the Association rules so long as they were passed properly pursuant to the Association bylaws.
