Question

expired green card/immigration

Sent to Legal Experts July 21, 2006 2:36 p.m.

My ex husband is from Australia. His green card expired on 4/13/04. I realize that without a doubt, if nothing else, he needs to renew it. But I believe that his card was a what they call a conditional card, meaning that he had to have one more interview with the INS before awarding him final permanent residency. He entered the states in 2000 and we were married the next year. Our divorce was final in February 2006. Does someone know what his status is? He is not working, but he is receiving unemployment benefits and he is supposed to be paying me child support each month and he's not. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks
