(Not a Legal Question?)

How can I get a refund that I am supposed to be getting?
Sent to Legal Experts November 23 08:40 PM

I had an appointment with a plastic surgeon, I changed my mind about the surgery and cancelled the appointment. I paid 7,000 dollars (50%) of which is non-refundable. When I cancelled the appointment the office manager said that she would get the check out. That was back in October, I have yet to see my refund check. I have made attempts to contact her, but she will not take or return my calls.

Optional Information:
Atlanta, Georgia

Already Tried:
Calling, leaving messages with someone and leaving voice mail with my cell phone and home phone numbers. (I am currently in an other state.)

Reply to 4ren6's Post: 7,038.00 was the total amount, 3,518.00 of that 7,000 was not refundable. In other words they owe the other half of the 7,038.

Ok, I better understand now. You need to send them a certified return receipt with signature required regarding this matter. In the letter state to them that they still owe you the refundable amount. If this does not resolve matters report them to your BBB for your area as well as you State Attorney Generals office who oversees these type business's and can enforce the refund. File a complaint with the Attorney Generals office after you get your notice back in the mail from them. This is and of itself may have them refund your balance quicker. Let me know if you need further assistance.
