Not knowing about the specifics your first suing (or planning) a governmental agency if this is a non-private school. There are draw backs to going this route.

If there are many people involved then yes a class action would indeed be your best bet. But remember this is a school. And you would not be suing the school per say but the State or County that runs it.

The more people affected by what ever the problem is then the better reason for a class action.

Fees for Class Action are very high also. Each may want to sue individually as well to really give a bang. ( or get their attention.)

Reply to 4ren6's Post: It is a private University. I want them to pay for shady business practices. They have increased tuition over 30% in 2 years - come to find out, it is standard that every single year they increase it by a set percentage but I was never informed of this and I don't think it's right. I was told my tuition may be subject to increase, which IMO made them falsly represent themselves considering they KNEW it was going to go an exact amount each and every year. I should have been told this before I signed up with them.

Eh, I don't even know if I could get anywhere. I will have to talk to an atty.

Sir: your comment of:I was told my tuition may be subject to increase,

This is standard across the board for all Universities. Tuition cost are at an all time high. However, if you indeed feel that you as well as other students have been misled then you should indeed consult with an attorney as a class action on this. Going individual would at this time be of no benefit.

With your added info this has allowed me to better answer your question.
