Arbitration won, but no settlement 6 mos.

After winning an arbitration case 100%, howMuch time is the losing party allowed prior to the final settlement? We have been waiting over 6 months & provided all info requested.

Unfortunately, receiving an award in your favor is very different from being paid on that award.

 

If you prevailed in a binding arbitration, that arbitrator's award should be reghistered with the county as a Judgement. Just like any judgement in court, you may seek to enforce that judgement through garnishments and account sezures. This may be relatively simple with a company. However, if the other party is an individual, it would be significantly more difficult and may require the assistance of counsel to perform post judgement discovery to determine what assets exist and how they may be levied.
